In 2007, after several months of effort and headache, I founded Baril Sports Management Inc.. It is a company dedicated to improving community sports, and getting more people involved in an active and healthier lifestyle. From the very beginning it is obvious that it is going to be a considerable challenge.

To my friends, family, and associates, I say this: I cannot make Baril Sports a success without your help. No man is an island, and no man conquers the world alone. Whatever you can do to help me, would be very much appreciated. Please, spread the word, get people interested in what the company has to offer, help bring attention to the company - help get people to sign up! You have, in advance, my sincere thanks.

I have several writing projects currently in rough development. While I would love to delve more deeply into my writing, it is the kind of thing that requires one to really immerse yourself into, to the exclusion of all else. You are creating a whole new world in your mind, and the distractions of daily life, friends and family, and anything else, readily interrupt the fragile fabric of a writer's imagination. Its also very hard to pay your bills as a starving artist. To become a writer full time would require 2-4 years worth of income set aside, or you must struggle to write while working a regular job and trying to build a home. That's why most writers never succeed, and those who do, take 10 years to publish their first book.

Pirates
Historical Fiction. It blends the lives of fictional pirates with those of the past, generously coalescing multiple centuries of real history into only decades for the sake of cenvenience and fun.

Un-named
Without giving to much away, its an interesting new way to approach the history of man. I think I've developed a perspective that gives a little more humanity to socio-political evolution.

Musings
A collection of short writing, including essays, philosophy, poetry, and other tidbits.

Manga
I'm writing a series of short stories which I would one day like to have drawn into the Japanese graphic art style called Manga. Eventually, I would love to see these animated. I am very fond of Anime, or Japanese animation.

Given time, I hope to complete these projects, though it will surely take years. Even once a book is completed it can take 1-2 years to see store shelves as a new author.

This company was founded by my brother, Gary. I offer my full support of his artistry with what business knowledge, administration, sales, and website development that I can. Hopefully, his artistic sense will continnue to expand on the success he has already seen here.

At age 11, I had a dream. It has kept coming back to me my whole life. In university I began to flesh it out. I have piles of notes and research on it now. It is the grandest of schemes. Only should all my other aspirations become successes, will it be possible to spearhead this initiative. By then, of course, it may be to late. Then again, maybe not. If I grow to old to do it myself, perhaps someone else will step into my vision and take over the dream.

In truth, everything else I have done and will do is simply done in order to reach this goal. I hope to do a little good along the way, but everything else I do is just a dream inside a dream.
