Uncle Timothy

Well, it wasn’t exactly a short labour, but - I’m an uncle now!
Baby girl was born at just over 9 lbs, healthy and mom’s doing great too. Philip seems very pleased. I’ll get a chance to see them all this afternoon.
Assuming I don’t totally fuck up my next serious relationship (3rd time’s the charm), I [...]

Say Uncle… any minute now…

Got a phone call this morning - my brother Philip’s girlfriend Lauren just went into labour. Some time today she’ll give birth! This is very exciting. A day early. Hope everything goes very smoothly and quickly for them!!

Personal Update

This weekend I will be traveling to Calgary. It’ll be a great opportunity to visit Dawn, Mai and Courtney, and I’m really looking forward to it! So far we have planned to see the Calgary Tower, some indoor gardens, and we’re going clubbing.
Lowered the price of my car recently. As soon as snow fell, the [...]

My New Column

As part of my role as the Marketing Director for EnviroPerfect Solutions, I have been asked by the Calgary Horticultural Society to supply a regular column to their membership newsletter.
Published about 8 times per year, this publication reaches approximately 5000 people as of 2007. This will be my first professional writing position on a regular [...]

Ugh, I get up every day, feel tired [...]

When I first dreamed up this book, my goal was to write as true to life as possible account of pirate life. Real language, real violence, real life scenarios and living conditions. It would [...]

Writing Update

This weekend has been great. I’ve continued to make great progress - for the first time in weeks - on plots for all 5 books in the series. Books 2,3 and 4 have been the easiest in this regard. Book 1, because it is so different in many ways has been hard, and Book 5, [...]

Emotion

For a very long time during my youth, I felt largely only one emotion. Anger. I had a terrible temper that was the direct result of my father. He had a viscious temper, took it out on me, and I regrettably took it out on my brothers, mother or others. It was immature, harmful and [...]

The Power Within

I have the power within.
I know I do. I fucking know it. I’m overflowing with it. It’s vibrating as it flows through my veins and I fucking own the universe.
I spent 10 HOURS today listening and participating to presentations by some great “motivational” speakers, including Luc Robataille, Bob Proctor, and the absolutely amazing [...]
